We like accountants. We’ve served them for years. Not long ago we pounded the pavement in the Indianapolis area conducting a survey: we wanted to know exactly what frustrates accountants with respect to information technology and what could be done to improve their experiences with managed IT service providers.
Our results show that accounting and tax firm employees – like many businesses’ employees – are frustrated with the IT support they receive.
However, in the accounting industry, there are two big differences:
- Accountants overwhelmingly requested extended technical support hours during tax season
- They want IT to stay out of their way

From January 2 to April 15, our local technical support team will be available from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. EST
That means our Indianapolis-based technical team will be ready to take your calls for support when you need it most. No waiting around for a reply from an on-call engineer or chatting about the weather with someone on the other side of the world. We know accounting systems from the user experience to the backend operating system. With our in-depth knowledge of common accounting programs, your resolution time is dramatically reduced.
Accounting and tax firms that join our fully managed IT service program by Dec. 31, 2018, will receive extended support as a sign-on bonus at no additional cost.
That means no response fees and no after-hours fees when tax software freezes up at 8:55 p.m. while you’re trying to finish up an important tax return.
Our survey also found that accountants don’t like to begin their workday with a security scan or operating system update when they first start up their computers. We’ve taken care of that problem, too.
During tax season, our engineers and technical support team will schedule all non-emergency updates to tax software, tax tables, security scans and patches, and other scheduled maintenance to those rare times when most accountants aren’t working.
